The society meets new needs of the living space. "Double Income Single Child" families are increasing rapidly in each year. Therefore a house in considerate of these three elements is proposed: Mutual understanding of parents
The only child, design beyond the east & west
The living space for upcoming society.
The empty & cold house drives a child to feel lonely.
Especially the only child is likely to be effected by the environments.
The only child are attempted to play games all day and surf the net to seize the loneliness. This phenomenon will carry on negative impact and it plays a big part in the formation of one's personality.
What needs to be done?
A place that allows a child to perform sensitive activity is proposed. We classified 4 senses into two categories of "lively stage" & "ease stage."
Feel_ Downy floor allows a child to feel as
if one is in mom's arm by
touching and rubbing the fur
Rub_ The child scent the mom's breath by
rubbing hand and face on the fur.
It stabilizes the child emotion.
Touch_ Draw a picture of oneself by
simply dragging your finger or palm on the wall.
Tap_ The color variation occurs with
the sound of selected beat.
The intensity of strength controls the volume.
The formal concept_ Shift + Slide
The basic interior structure is based on the traditional Korean house style called "Waetong Hyoung".
* The function of the room shifts according to the slide form of certain situation.
