Concept of the proposal
1) TRANSFORMABILITY OF HOUSING UNIT
In modern age, especially in Korea, everything is changing with rapidity, so the housing units should not be hard and rigid machine for living. The purpose of this proposal is to suggest a neutral space form with small-medium size, which offers the possibility of easy transformation into another types as the family situation changes. The proposed housing units are results of combination of both fixed rigid walls and light partitions.
2) VARIETY IN MODULAR SYSTEM
In common believes, modular system means the economic but monotonous solution without variety. This proposal suggests how to make differences among four types of housing units have the same modular system. The variety comes from the diversity and gives expression of life style to each family.
