Home Play

House becomes a playground.
A home should be a fun place for all the family members, as the time spent together is so precious. By having an open plan, the space becomes more 'sociable playground' with objects that can be played on. This house will encourage interaction between the parents and child whether they are together in the house or not. At the same time, privacy is also created by the curtains that can be drawn and opened according to the need. Now home is a flexible 'Magic Box'.

Kitchen is the heart of the play.
Most of time that dual income single child family spends at home concentrates on cooking and eating. Unlike typical Korean houses, in this house, kitchen is located at the center of the house, where the person working can be in constant visual connection and in dialogue with other family members in the living space. The workstation includes cooking facilities as well as other house appliances such as washing machine and vacuum cleaning system. Now the house work becomes a joyful play by all family members.

Different Times, Different Space Plays
Different parts of the home become alive according to the use and occupancy. The sliding partition system consists of curtains. These curtains take on more free and organic shapes that cocoon the occupant giving him/ her more private space. The curtains appear and disappear, making this home a unique place to be, and a perfect place to play 'hide and seek'.

Tactile Materials Everywhere
A lot of natural materials are used in the home to create a vast ranging palette of different materials. These materials are all in the easy reach of the child, and makes his/her playground a world of wonderful natural materials that he/she can discover with hands, feet and eyes. This will encourage the development of coordination and dexterity whilst playing at his special playground: home.

Digital Play
Digital communication plays a big role in our daily lives. In this house, the three members of the family can be in contact constantly even when they are not physically at home together. Flat screens with Eye Ball (Integrated Web Camera) can capture the child playing at home and connect a visual link with the parents. When dad is late from work, he can be connected and see and talk to his family at home or when mum is late dad can do the cooking for a change, under mom's careful guidance via the web cam.
