It is thought that the physical division in one dwelling unit has lost the correspondence relation with the virtual division which the contemporary family really needs in Japan, which already experienced mass consumption society. The image of the ideal family who relaxes fortunately in living room does not already have a reality. For example, it is said that there is about 1 million population of "HIKIKOMORI (with drawal)" now. Probably, this problem is related to the urbanized single room being strengthened by the fixed nLDK system. Especially the only child of the family of having dual income-parents may have much time to pass alone the hobby world surrounded by his things and information.

Based on such a situation, we propose a creative new dwelling unit for the diversified individual image and the modern family image. By this dwelling unit, the family who lives here could choose a suitable division as them, and then, they could acquire a fluid family form.

In this dwelling unit, the resident stock their things, information, equipment, etc. which constitute their life in the movable shelf-walls of a thin flat format. And by pulling it out at their own discretion, they can discover their space. This means building space with the thing itself, which identify individuals and families, such as hobby. Various shelf-walls are prepared there and the resident can update the character of space by which one is pulled out or how they combine at any time.
